Accepting Feedback

The one thing I enjoy, is feedback; negative, positive, and constructive. I think of feedback as a learning experience. Not everything you do can be perfect and there’s always room to improve.
During the 5-week work term, I was at Pratt & Whitney Canada in Enfield.

I was asked to make an AutoCAD drawing to create a cable management system for a section of the production floor. I put 3 or 4, 8-hour days into this one drawing. I thought it was perfect, so I had passed it into my supervisor.

Turns out it wasn’t perfect, there were a couple parts that needed to be changed but he said I had the right idea of what should go there. After a couple of days of working on the drawing, I passed it in again. There were still a few things that needed to be adjusted but overall, it was a well-done drawing.
