A bit about me..
As you know, my name is Adrian Dorey. I grew up in Sipekne'katik First Nation. I'm both Mi'kmaq and Passamaquoddy.
As an indigenous person, I find culture very important and I try to bring it into a lot of things I do. Even if it isn't specifically about culture, I'm able to bring a different mindset or way of thinking into the work place.
My favorite things to do outside of school or work, is hanging out with my family, going to hockey games and playing video games.
Education
Nova Scotia Community College - Truro Campus
2023 - Present
I'm currently enrolled in the Game Programming program that is offered in Truro. Where we learn the fundamentals of Game Development. As I'm on the programming side of this course, we've done game mathematics, made games using Unity and C#, have done multiple projects with strict deadlines.
Nova Scotia Community College - Ivany Campus
2017 - 2018
I graduated from Electronics Engineering Technician program that was offered at Ivany. It went from January of 2017 to December of 2018, graduating 2019. During this course we learned the basics of AC and DC circuits and learning how to solder. The things that I really enjoyed was learning to use AutoCAD, learning how to make and test CAT cables as well as the Microprogramming course that taught us to code in C programming.
